Matarifes, a project showcased at Film Financing Market on October 9, has entered the post-production phase.
The film by brothers Bernardo and Rafael Antonaccio, a thriller set in Montevideo in 1972 about the illegal meat trade, is currently in post-production and is slated for both commercial release and festival screenings in 2026.
Matarifes is a Uruguayan-Argentine co-production between Monarca Films, Hain Cine and Nadador Cine.
